In its latest report, think tank Public Policy Projects has collected insights from world-leading experts in genomics to highlight the challenges of ensuring genomics for human health are equitably accessible to all.

Lifebit's Chief Business Development Officer Thorben Seeger and Scientific Content Creator Maria Alvarellos are among the experts who contributed to the second Global Insights Report from Public Policy Projects.

PPP's stakeholders provided input and experience regarding genomic medicine, and the report acknowledges that genomic medicine must be inclusive and accessible to all. In addition, the report stressed that under-represented communities need to be encouraged to participate in genomics research for global benefit. Rather than blaming excluded cohorts for not engaging, it is crucial to create an equitable approach to benefit sharing, acknowledge the barriers they face, and accept them.
